The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship heads to New York City for a fifth time, and a fifth pair of double-headers around the Big Apple.
The Brooklyn Street Circuit is a favourite of fans, teams and drivers alike, weaving around the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal site in the heart of the Red Hook neighbourhood of Brooklyn. It's a real test; lined with miles of unforgiving concrete, with views across the Buttermilk Channel and over towards Lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty.
More than 20,000 people descended for New York’s first racing action since CART's PPG Cup back in the 1980s and the city's first all-electric street races, and since then, it's produced some real classics.
There are four drivers split by just 15 points, though only one of them has won here before - Jean-Eric Vergne (DS TECHEETAH). The double champion was also twice crowned in the shadow of the unmistakable Manhattan skyline, and he, Mitch Evans (Jaguar TCS Racing), Stoffel Vandoorne (Mercedes-EQ) will all be looking to unseat the driver with the target on his back at the top of the standings Edoardo Mortara (ROKiT Venturi Racing).
