Jordan King makes his return to single-seater racing for one weekend of Formula E racing, stepping up as the reserve driver for Mahindra Racing at the Berlin double-header.

Veteran British racer Jordan King was born in Warwick in 1994 and has experience across various international racing categories.

The highlight of his junior career was testing a Formula Two car at age 15 in 2009, before competing in multiple races the following season. This would make him the youngest person to participate in the series's modern era.

He then joined the GP2 series in 2015 and 2016 and would race in the rebranded FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2017 and 2019 for MP Motorsport.

His performances in the feeder series saw him earn a free practice drive for the Manor F1 team in 2016 and a simulator role for the Alpine F1 Team until 2021. He also competed in IndyCar and the FIA World Endurance Championship during this period, which saw him claim the LMP2 victory in his first-ever endurance race.

King’s Formula E journey began in 2016-17 with a test for Mahindra Racing, the same team he would join as the simulator and development driver in 2021. He then took part in a Rookie Test for the Indian squad in 2023 and is set to make his race debut at the Berlin E-Prix, standing in for 2020/21 champion Nyck de Vries, who will be racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship that same weekend.
