ATTACK MODE is a power boost that drivers must activate during the race. By driving through a specific 'Activation Zone' off the racing line, drivers unlock an extra 50kW of power (increasing from 300kW to 350kW) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) for a limited time.

How are points awarded in Formula E?

Formula E follows the standard FIA points system for the top 10 finishers: 1st (25 pts), 2nd (18 pts), 3rd (15 pts), 4th (12 pts), 5th (10 pts), 6th (8 pts), 7th (6 pts), 8th (4 pts), 9th (2 pts), and 10th (1 pt). Additional bonus points include 3 points for the Julius Baer Pole Position and 1 point for the Fastest Lap (must finish in the top 10).

How does the PIT BOOST work?

PIT BOOST is a mandatory 30-second pit stop where the car receives a 600kW ultra-fast charge. The window opens when the battery's State of Charge (SoC) is between 40% and 60%, allowing teams to strategize around the 'undercut' or 'overcut' to gain track position.

What are the rules for PIT BOOST?

The PIT BOOST is required at select double-header locations (Jeddah, London, Tokyo) or single-headers as decided by the FIA. The stop must last exactly 30 seconds for charging (roughly 34s total). Successful completion rewards the driver with a 10% energy boost (3.85kWh) for the final laps.

Can teams double-stack cars during PIT BOOST?

No. Each team is provided with one 600kW charging rig to manage power loads. Teammates cannot pit simultaneously, forcing strategic splits that add to the race drama.
