The inaugural Paris ePrix, which takes place on April 23, will feature title sponsorship from Visa.
The Visa Paris ePrix will be the first time the all-electric racing series has staged an event in the French capital, with the 1.93km track featuring a spectacular backdrop including the historic Les Invalides.
Sam Piccione III, Chief Revenue Officer at Formula E, said: “We are delighted Visa has decided to put its name to the Paris ePrix. Paris is one of the world’s great cities and we believe that the Paris ePrix will be a world-class event, so it is entirely fitting that we have a high-profile, global sponsor supporting us for this exciting adventure.”
“The partnership between Visa Europe and Formula E represents the coming-together of two truly innovative brands. We share fundamental values with Formula E, namely mobility, agility, speed and technology," says Mark Antipof, Chief Officer, Sales and Marketing at Visa Europe. “Paris was the natural choice, due to its position as a centre for European innovation and a major market for us.”
Standing tickets for the Visa Paris ePrix are on sale now. Early bird offers run until March 31 with prices starting from just €20 for adults, and €15 for children aged 7 to 15 and people over 60.
Visa is also offering fans a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of driving a mind-controlled mini Formula E car, guided by sensors that measure brainwaves placed on the driver’s head.
