Cleo Abram joins Sam Bird at NEOM McLaren for Evo Sessions

Eleven well-known personalities from actors to athletes and content creators will be paired with a Formula E team and driver and put through a testing programme on 5-6 March at the Miami International Autodrome. Rigorous driver prep from simulator sessions to driver coaching, hardware customisation and engineering briefings will set Cleo up for the challenge - alongside driver Sam Bird.

Cleo will receive the best training and support possible ahead of the event, including time in the team’s simulator. The training programme will not only prepare Cleo for the experience but also provide an in-depth insight into what it takes to prepare, train, and drive like a professional racing driver.

“This is a rare chance to go beyond reporting on technology – I get to live it," says Abram. "Formula E is leading the charge in electric racing, and stepping into the driver’s seat is the best way to understand it from the inside out. I’m here to learn from Sam and the team, to push my own limits, and to bring people along for the ride in a way that makes this technology feel real.

In each episode of Huge If True, Cleo dives into one innovation that could shape the future. She has explored humanoid robots at Boston Dynamics, supersonic planes at NASA, the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, and many more. For her interview series, Huge Conversations, she has interviewed Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang. Previously, Cleo was a producer at Vox and director for Explained on Netflix.

SCHEDULE: Next we're heading Stateside for the 2025 Miami E-Prix Round 5 

Miami is back on the calendar after the iconic location held the first Formula E race on US soil back in the inaugural season. The legendary Homestead-Miami Speedway will trade stock cars for single seaters as it plays host for Round 5 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

Home teams Andretti, CUPRA KIRO  and DS PENSKE will be looking to put on a show for their home fans on Saturday April 12, 2025.
