Overnight rain and the cooler, early morning air made for entirely different conditions to the sunny, windy ones we saw in Free Practice 1 as TAG Heuer Porsche power went back on top, with Antonio Felix da Costa going quickest on an impressive 1m10.855s - some 2.5 seconds up on last year's pole time set by his teammate Pascal Wehrlein.

Times were initially more than 20 seconds off the dry pace on GEN3 Evo's first wet-weather outing, with the Stellantis-powered DS PENSKE pair of Maximilian Guenther and Jean-Eric Vergne heading the way early on.
The timesheets lit up later on though, with purple fastest sectors as the track surface began to dry and full power, four-wheel drive 350kW laps came in.

Hughes (Maserati MSG Racing) fired to the top of the times at the last with a 1m25.808s, pipping Jaguar TCS Racing's Nick Cassidy and reigning champ, Mexico maestro, Wehrlein third.
Jake Dennis, a winner here in his World Championship year back in Season 9, finds himself fourth while Antonio Felix da Costa and Mahindra Racing's Nyck de Vries round out the top six.
