Ahead of the inaugural Tokyo E-Prix, we led the FIA Sustainable Innovation Series & Formula E Change. Accelerated. Live Conference at Tokyo University, with speakers Tomasso Volpe from home team Nissan - who've just signed up for GEN4 - Roger Griffiths the team boss of Andreti, Leopold Mathieu, EV Logistics Global Business Development Manager at DHL and Julia Palle, VP of Sustainability at Formula E. The discussion covered the power of racing in bringing positive change and raising awareness of environmental and climate issues.

"Formula E is not only about doing a racing championship, is about accelerating the global migration towards EVs and educating people about the climate change problem along the was," says Jeff Dodds, CEO, Formula E.
"Road traffic accounts for 50% of particle pollution, mostly coming from tyres and brakes. Motorsports play an important role tackling this issue with track-to-road transfer, helping improve vehicle technology and sustainability," added Natalie Robyn, FIA, CEO.
A second session - the BloombergNEF Trackside Exclusive powered by Formula E Change. Accelerated. Live took place on 29 March in Ariake, Tokyo, in March 2024 as Formula E hit the track for the first time in Tokyo - with voices of leading Bloomberg analysts and influential experts from the electric racing ecosystem.
A panel of Ian James, boss of McLaren Electric Racing, Frederic Bertrand from Mahindra Racing, Tony Khan of DHL Express Japan, Guillaume Gerondeau, Dassault Systems, David Kang and Iain Wilson from BloombergNEF and Julia Palle discussed the power of motorsport to advance principals of circular economy and the transition to net zero - with the world's first net zero sport and the most sustainable motorsport on the planet encouraging reduction and reuse of raw materials driven by top level sporting competition.
