· São Paulo saw two New Zealanders share a podium (Mitch Evans and Cassidy) - the first of four doubles in Season 9. Brazilians are the only other drivers to have managed this (in Season 1)
· Sebastien Buemi is the only driver to have three wins South America (Punta del Este, Season 1, Punta del Este, Season 2 and Buenos Aires, Season 3)
· Jean-Eric Vergne has the most poles in South America (3), including on debut in Punta del Este, Season 1
- São Paulo is the second of 29 cities in which Avalanche Andretti have not scored points. The other is Bern, where the Andrettis finished in 11th and 12th in the only visit back in Season 5
· Stoffel Vandoorne set his only pole of his title defence here last season. No reigning champion has ever managed to achieve more than two poles as incumbent champ
· That was DS PENSKE's first pole position since the Season 2 Mexico City E-Prix
· Leaving Brazil last season, Porsche's Pascal Wehrlein led the Drivers' table by 24 points - the largest championship lead he has ever had in Formula E
· Wehrlein managed to gain five positions on the opening lap, moving from 18th on the grid to 13th - the most the German driver has gained on the first lap in his Formula E career
· Wehrlein then went onto finish in seventh place to extend his championship lead, in doing so gaining the most positions in the race (11)
· Since joining Porsche at the start of last season, Antonio Felix da Costa has only out qualified Pascal Wehrlein three times (16-3), one of which came last season in São Paulo
· The Season 9 São Paulo E-Prix was the third longest Formula E race in history
· Last season saw both Lucas di Grassi and Sergio Sette Camara race on home soil but neither managed to take home points. Can they give the home support something to cheer this season?
