Jake Dennis
Team: Andretti
Nationality: British
Debut Race: 2021 Diriyah E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 1st
Our reigning World Champion, Andretti’s Jake Dennis. With Porsche power under his feet, the 28-year-old became the first Brit to win the Formula E Drivers’ title and did it in front of his home crowd in 2023. Having always raced with Andretti in his Formula E career, Dennis brought all his experience together in the first season of GEN3 to leave a champion. On his way to the crown, he achieved 11 podiums over 16 rounds which was a new Formula E record, as well as two wins.

Nick Cassidy
Team: Jaguar TCS Racing
Nationality: New Zealand
Debut Race: 2021 Diriyah E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 2nd
Taking the championship fight to the final double-header of the season in 2023, Nick Cassidy charged to four victories in an impressive campaign in Season 9. Switching to Jaguar TCS Racing for his fourth campaign in Formula E, the New Zealander has the top prize in his sights for Season 10.

Mitch Evans
Team: Jaguar TCS Racing
Nationality: New Zealand
Debut Race: 2016 Hong Kong E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 3rd
Mitch Evans joined Jaguar TCS Racing ahead of their debut season in Season 3, and has remained loyal to the team ever since. Now about to embark on his eighth campaign of Formula E, Evans has proved himself as one of the strongest drivers on the grid. With 10 wins to his name, the Kiwi is ready to finally get his hands on the championship trophy after several years of coming incredibly close. Can Season 10 be the one?

Pascal Wehrlein
Team: TAG Heuer Porsche
Nationality: German
Debut Race: 2019 Marrakesh E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 4th
This Porsche driver has just had his strongest Formula E season yet, ending 2023 with three wins and an additional podium finish. As well as doing the double in Diriyah, winning both races in Saudi Arabia, he was the title favourite for a big percentage of the year. Working hard over the off-season, Wehrlein and Porsche are a dynamite combination and are ready to come back stronger for Season 10.

Jean-Eric Vergne
Team: DS PENSKE
Nationality: French
Debut Race: 2014 Punta del Este E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 5th
Jean-Eric Vergne made history becoming the first back-to-back champion in Formula E following his title-winning campaigns in Seasons 4 and 5. Vergne, affectionately known as JEV has been a part of the championship since its debut season, and knows this series inside out. A win at the inaugural Hyderabad E-Prix was a highlight for the Frenchman last season, but he is always fighting for title number three.

Sebastien Buemi
Team: Envision Racing
Nationality: Swiss
Debut Race: 2014 Beijing E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 6th
Season 2 champion Sebastien Buemi is one of the most successful drivers in ABB FIA Formula E World Championship history. With 114 races entered, a record 13 wins, 30 podiums and 16 pole positions, he is a true Formula E legend. With his team Envision Racing the reigning Teams’ Champions, Buemi will be hoping his Season 10 campaign can take him back to winning ways.

Maximilian Guenther
Team: Maserati MSG Racing
Nationality: German
Debut Race: 2018 Diriyah E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 7th
Maximilian Guenther has had a varied Formula E career since he joined in Season 5. Time at GEOX Dragon as a rookie, was followed by two seasons at Andretti and then Nissan. However, the 26-year-old made the switch to Maserati MSG Racing for GEN3, as the iconic Italian manufacturer joined the eclectic championship. With eight podiums, two pole positions and four wins to his name, this young German star will be looking to further unlock his potential with the competitive outfit and add to his victory tally.

Sam Bird
Team: NEOM McLaren
Nationality: British
Debut Race: 2014 Beijing E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 8th
One of a few drivers that have been a part of Formula E since that first race, Sam Bird is without doubt one of the most experienced drivers on the grid. He has found himself in championship contention several times over the past nine seasons, which is no surprise given his 26 podiums and 11 wins over his 112 race starts. Bird is racing in McLaren papaya for Season 10, one of most anticipated driver moves, departing the Jaguar squad after three years together.

Antonio Felix da Costa
Team: TAG Heuer Porsche
Nationality: Portuguese
Debut Race: 2014 Putrajaya E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 9th
Season 6 champion Antonio Felix da Costa made the jump to Porsche last year, but already looks at home with the German manufacturing giant. The passionate Portuguese racer joined the Formula E adventure when the championship was in just its second race, and in that time has stood on the podium an impressive 19 times. He increased his number of victories to eight in Season 9, when he won the inaugural Cape Town E-Prix thanks to an outrageous last lap overtake.

Norman Nato
Team: Andretti
Nationality: French
Debut Race: 2021 Diriyah E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 10th
Nato is taking a big step up for Season 10, joining Andretti alongside the current World Champion Jake Dennis. The Frenchman completed his second full season in 2023, racing for the Nissan team. It was a season of mixed results, but the undisputed highlight came when he secured second place in Rome - the team’s first podium that season. He will look to add to his win and podium tally by taking a seat in a championship-winning car.

Stoffel Vandoorne
Team: DS PENSKE
Nationality: Belgian
Debut Race: 2018 Diriyah E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 11th
In Season 8, Stoffel Vandoorne put on one of the most commanding and consistent campaigns seen in Formula E’s history to win his first title. Now with DS PENSKE for a second year, Vandoorne will be hoping for a stronger season in 2024 to get back to the front and fight. A highly-respectable racing resume makes Vandoorne one of the most promising talents on the grid - a driver that also holds two Formula 1 reserve driver roles, including at Aston Martin - who will hope to add to his three wins and 15 career podiums.

Jake Hughes
Team: NEOM McLaren
Nationality: British
Debut Race: 2023 Mexico City E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 12th
After some time in the shadows as a test and reserve driver for Mercedes-EQ outfit, Jake Hughes made the step up to a full-time drive with McLaren in Season 9. It was not only a rookie year for Hughes, but also for McLaren who made their Formula E debut in the first year of GEN3. His speed made a quick impression, with the 29-year-old achieving a pole position in just third outing for the team in Diriyah, something he was able to replicate in Monaco later in the season.

Edoardo Mortara
Team: Mahindra Racing
Nationality: Swiss-Italian
Debut Race: 2017 Hong Kong E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 14th
After six super seasons racing for Venturi and then the Maserati MSG Racing team, established race winner Edoardo Mortara has moved over to Mahindra Racing for a new challenge in Season 10. During his time at Formula E, making his debut in Season 4, Mortara has come close to winning the championship on a couple of occasions - ending Season 7 second in the championship and third the following year. The Swiss-Italian-French driver will be wanting to add to his six victories with the Mahindra outfit.

Lucas di Grassi
Team: ABT CUPRA
Nationality: Brazilian
Debut Race: 2014 Beijing E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 15th
Lucas di Grassi was the winner of the first-ever Formula E race; the 2014 Beijing E-Prix. Since then, the Season 3 champion has entered 116 races, the most of any driver, and has stood on the top step of the podium a record 13 times. After seven incredible seasons with ABT and Audi, di Grassi made the jump and joined ROKIT Venturi and Mahindra Racing for one year each. Now, in Season 10, di Grassi has gone back ‘home’ and has been reunited with the ABT CUPRA Formula E team.

Sacha Fenestraz
Team: Nissan
Nationality: French-Argentine
Debut Race: 2022 Seoul E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 16th
After making a brief debut at the finale of Season 8 in Seoul, covering for an injured Antonio Giovinazzi, Fenestraz graduated to a full-time drive in Formula E in Season 9. The young rookie made a seriously good impression in his first season, especially when he stormed to pole position in Cape Town in the fastest-ever Formula E lap. Two fourth place finishes in Monaco and Jakarta meant he just missed out on a chance of a podium, but he’s proven himself a big talent of the future.

Dan Ticktum
Team: ERT Formula E
Nationality: British
Debut Race: 2022 Diriyah E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 17th
Ticktum started a new racing chapter when he joined Formula E for Season 8. Remaining with the same team for another year, despite the new name of ERT Formula E, Ticktum will be chasing even more points in this third championship year. In the first year of GEN3, Ticktum battled his way to sixth on two occasions, and even found himself leading the Berlin E-Prix! There’s no denying his rapid pace, with six appearances in the Qualifying Duels last season.

Nico Mueller
Team: ABT CUPRA
Nationality: Swiss
Debut Race: 2019 Diriyah E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 19th
Mueller had a strong end to his Season 9 campaign with ABT CUPRA, finishing in the points in three of the last four races. There were definitely lots of stand out moments for him and the team, who managed to start the Berlin E-Prix (Round 8) on the front row, as well as achieving points in both Rome rounds. The Swiss racer has stood on the Formula E podium before, collecting second place in an eventful 2021 Valencia E-Prix when racing with Dragon Penske Autosport in Season 7 of the all-electric championship.

Sergio Sette Camara
Team: ERT Formula E
Nationality: Brazilian
Debut Race: 2020 Berlin E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 20th
Before making his debut in the six-race Berlin finale of Season 6, Sette Camara represented DRAGON / PENSKE AUTOSPORT in the 2020 Marrakesh Rookie Test which he ended with the second-fastest time. He was rewarded with a full-time drive with the team, where he stayed for the next two seasons but moved to NIO 333 for the exciting GEN3 era. Still there today, albeit under a new name, Sette Camara has also shown us his speed through numerous Qualifying Duels appearances. The Brazilian was also responsible for the team’s best result in Season 9, finishing the Hyderabad E-Prix in fifth.

Oliver Rowland
Team: Nissan
Nationality: British
Debut Race: 2015 Punta del Este E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 21st
Rowland is back. Making his debut with Nissan in Season 5, Oliver Rowland returns with the Japanese marque for Season 10 looking to add to his victory and podium tally. The Yorkshireman joined Formula E full-time with Nissan after one outing for Mahindra in Season 2, and went on to achieve four poles, five podiums and an all-important victory for the team. He left to race for Mahindra Racing in Seasons 8 and 9, but departed the race seat after the 2023 Monaco E-Prix in a move labelled a “mutual agreement” at the time.
Robin Frijns
Team: Envision Racing
Nationality: Dutch
Debut Race: 2015 Beijing E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: 22nd
After a challenging Season 9, two-time race winner Robin Frijns is back with Envision Racing! The 32-year-old had four brilliant seasons with the Envision squad, collecting 13 podium trophies including two victories. Frijns started his GEN3 campaign by breaking his hand during the Mexico City E-Prix weekend, putting him out of action for ABT CUPRA over five races. Once he came back, Frijns achieved a second career pole in Berlin, but has made the move back to Envision to help the British outfit to defend their Teams' title.
Nyck de Vries
Team: Mahindra Racing
Nationality: Dutch
Debut Race: 2019 Diriyah E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: NA
Formula E's inaugural Drivers' World Champion is back, as Nyck de Vries joins Mahindra Racing for Season 10. The Dutchman and race winner will be looking to bring the Indian manufacturer back to the top step in 2024. After time in F1, the Season 7 champion returns ‘home’ to Formula E in one of the most highly-anticipated driver moves in motorsport this year.

Jehan Daruvala
Team: Maserati MSG Racing
Nationality: Indian
Debut Race: 2024 Mexico City E-Prix
Season 9 Standing: NA
After spending time in the wings as a test and reserve driver, Jehan Daruvala steps up to a full-time seat in Formula E with Maserati MSG Racing for Season 10. The rookie becomes the second Indian driver to line-up on the grid. The Indian driver partnered with home team Mahindra Racing ahead of Season 9, joining the team's roster as their test and reserve driver for the all-new GEN3 era. He’s also the only rookie on the grid this year!
Candidates set to launch Formula E team on BBC's The Apprentice
Airing in the UK on BBC One and iPlayer from 9pm on 29th February, the remaining candidates on The Apprentice will be tasked with bringing to life their own championship teams, using Formula E's GEN3 car, as they vie for £250,000 of Lord Sugar's backing.
