One of the biggest drawbacks to watching professional international motorsport in person are the ticket prices, but Formula E has excelled at making its ePrix easy and affordable to attend. Tickets start at $35 for grandstand seating, while parking passes are just $25 per car. Children under two years old are offered free entry, and anyone aged 3-15 will be eligible for half-price tickets.

That makes the Southwire Portland E-Prix more affordable than other races hosted at the track, and better value than many other racing series in the United States. There aren't many better ways to spend a Saturday for under $100.
3. Fan — and family — friendly
Formula E strives to create an unmatched fan experience, and you'll find that in spades in Portland. In just one day, you'll be able to watch practice, qualifying, a race, and the podium celebration, which takes place in the Allianz Fan Village for all to watch. Plus, you can line up for autographs from and get the chance to meet your favorite drivers, test your skills on a racing simulator, and enjoy a sampling of the best of Portland's fine local cuisine.
And yes, the E-Prix is family friendly, too. Formula E's electric powertrains mean you won't have to worry about hearing protection while the cars are on-track, and there will be plenty of kid-friendly activities to keep your young ones entertained during any downtime on-track with incredible entertainment, music and special guests.
4. A new generation of our electric future
This year marks the first iteration of GEN3, Formula E's latest set of technical and sporting regulations. The cars are faster, lighter, more powerful, more efficient, and more sustainable than ever before thanks to the championship's endless push to develop EV technology.
Motorsport has historically served as a test bed for new technologies, and in 2023, Formula E's GEN3 car has pushed the boundaries of development to a new level. By implementing more powerful batteries, recycled carbon fiber, and natural rubber, the marques taking part in the championship — Maserati, Nissan, Jaguar, Porsche, DS, NIO, CUPRA, McLaren, and Mahindra — all have a head start when it comes to developing their next electric road-going machine.
