The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship returns to ExCeL London on August 15 & 16, for a high-intensity double-header that will decide both the Teams' and Drivers' championship and mark the end of the GEN3 era.
London delivers high-stakes electric racing where history, innovation and raw speed collide. In a first for an international race series, The Hankook London E-Prix is raced on an indoor/outdoor circuit layout, which offers a unique challenge for drivers and teams - especially if there's some classic British weather!
The 2.09km, 22-turn track is tight and twisty with a slicker, less grippy surface indoors and asphalt outside, with plenty of elevation changes. There's lots of opportunities for overtaking and energy usage is relatively low. Qualifying will be important, as ever, but there’s certainly room for manoeuvre.
London is something of a homecoming for many of the championship's teams: three of the 10: Jaguar, Lola, and Envision have UK links. Four of the 20 drivers will also be counting on home support, Taylor Barnard, Jake Dennis - a double winner in London - Dan Ticktum, and reigning champion Oliver Rowland.
