In the final Free Practice session of the 2026 Shanghai E-Prix double-header weekend it was DS PENSKE's Taylor Barnard who came out on top with a time of 1m16.902.
Following the 22-year-old was a convoy of Porsche powered cars, with Pascal Wehrlein, Felipe Drugovich, Nico Müller and Jake Dennis rounding out the top-5.
However, the session was blighted by wet weather conditions (once again), which prevented anyone from setting a truly competitive lap time. With similar conditions forecast throughout the day, it's all up for grabs in qualifying.

As it happened…
It was an early start once again for the Formula E paddock as drivers prepared to hit the track for Free Practice 3 at 06:00 local time.
Overnight rainfall made for challenging conditions, with lap times falling around the 1m20 range in the first half of the session, significantly slower than yesterday’s pace in practice and qualifying.
But the rain was the least of Jake Dennis’ problems. The Andretti driver was stuck in the garage for much of the session, after reporting a ‘massive grinding noise’ which was later attributed to a driveshaft issue. Dennis was eventually able to get out on track, and quickly got up to speed, finishing the session in 5th.
Dennis’ teammate Drugovich looked strong for much of the session, as did the fellow Porsche powered cars of Wehrlein and Muller. However, when the chequered flag fell, it was DS PENSKE’s Taylor Barnard who finished on top with a 1m16.902.
