UPDATE: Drugovich hit with five-second time penalty, loses podium finish

Andretti's Felipe Drugovich has been demoted from his second-placed finish in the 2026 Lianxin Sanya E-Prix Round 11.

The Brazilian was hit with a five-second time penalty for contact with Porsche's Pascal Wehrlein that was adjudged to have been avoidable by race stewards.

That leaves Drugovich fifth with CUPRA KIRO's Pepe Marti promoted to a career-best second place, after his prior benchmark P3 finish secured in Monaco at the previous race weekend, while Nyck de Vries (Mahindra Racing) inherits third position.

Andretti's maiden one-two slips away

The US team had been celebrating a first-ever one-two in their Formula E history after Jake Dennis had led his teammate home over the line on-track.

That contact with Wehrlein at Turn 9 cuts short the squad's joy and the team, who've raced in Formula E from day one, will have to go again in their search for the accolade.

In a fortnight's time, Formula E heads to Shanghai for Rounds 12 & 13 of the 2025/26 season on 4 & 5 July.
