Where is the 2026 Hankook Berlin E-Prix taking place?

This weekend we return to a venue that was hosted more Formula E races than any other, Berlin's Tempelhof Airport. The city maintains its accolade of being the only city to be present on the calendar since Season 1, as the drivers get set for a unique challenge as they race around the tough Tempelhof Airport circuit in the German capital.

Apart from a brief stint at Alexanderplatz in Season 2, the former airport has been a consistent feature every season and brings with it a mix of challenges. The abrasive concrete slabs that once hosted huge airliners result in high tyre degradation, and complex energy management demands make Berlin one of the most tactical events on the schedule.

There have been 15 different winners here across the years, with Antonio Felix da Costa and Nick Cassidy tied at the top with three wins each. We’ve also seen a lot of first-time victors here including Felix Rosenqvist, Norman Nato and Stoffel Vandoorne. Will we add a new name to that list this weekend?

What has happened so far in the 2025/2026 Formula E season?

Just like in previous seasons, Formula E has remained very unpredictable across the first five events of the 2025/26 season. There have been five different winners from four teams, with the level of competition still one of the highest in international motorsport.

Jake Dennis took first honours for himself and Andretti in Brazil, after breaking the curse and starting from pole to take victory. Next up was Nick Cassidy, who climbed up the grid from 13th to first in front of the adoring Mexican fans, to take a first win for Citroën Racing, just two races into their single-seater debut.

Then it was Mitch Evans and Jaguar TCS Racing who celebrated success, putting their first points on the board after a challenging start to Season 12. Evans, who now tops the all-time wins record in Formula E after his 15th career victory, drove from ninth to first during a wet race at the Miami International Autodrome.

Jeddah saw Pascal Wehrlein climb back to the top spot with Porsche after starting third, and now places him top of the drivers' standings as we go into Madrid on 68 points. The following day, Antonio Felix da Costa became the fifth winner in five races, just five races into his move to Jaguar.

The inaugural Madrid E-Prix was also won by Antonio Felix da Costa, with the Portuguese racer feeling the local support and looking right at home at his new Jaguar team.

As it stands going into Berlin, home hero Wehrlein still leads the points table on 83 points thanks to his podium and points consistency. He’s closely followed by Mahindra Racing’s Edoardo Mortara on 72 points and who is still chasing down a victory this year after coming close on several occasions.
