HRH The Prince of Wales visits Jaguar TCS Racing Technical Headquarters

Joined by Jaguar TCS Racing's António Félix da Costa and Mitch Evans, His Royal Highness experienced the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 first-hand.

Taking place at Jaguar TCS Racing's technical headquarters in Kidlington (Oxfordshire), the visit showcased the team who design, develop and manufacture Jaguar's latest Formula E machinery. 

During the royal visit, HRH The Prince of Wales had the opportunity to experience the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 first-hand as he stepped into the cockpit of the all-electric race car. His Royal Highness also met members of the Jaguar team, who spoke to the him about the British team’s approach to electrification, innovation and competition, as well as how Jaguar's participation in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is aiding the development of technology in future fleets of their road cars.

Jaguar duo, António Félix da Costa and Mitch Evans, provided His Royal Highness with a drivers' perspective of the GEN3 Evo, showcasing the technology behind the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 and demonstrating the team’s Driver-in-the-Loop simulator. 

Chris Thorp, JLR Chief of Staff and Motorsport Executive Chairman, said: We are honoured His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales visited Jaguar TCS Racing’s technical headquarters today to witness the extraordinary work being carried out by everyone in the team.
