Antonio Felix da Costa, Jaguar TCS Racing: “I wasn't born yet when F1 was coming here, but this track's got a lot of history with the motorsport world and I've seen a lot of pictures from my brothers when they were young, watching F1 here. So now they will be here this weekend and watching me racing a fully-electric race car in the place where they were 40 years ago.
“The track itself is such a good challenge for us as racing drivers. It's a real commitment track, but I think that's awesome. Turn 5, 6 and 7 is a massive commitment, Turn 8 is also a big commitment, and it's pretty cool when you put a good lap down here. We obviously were testing here a year and a half ago, but now we're here for the serious stuff where points are collected, so it's going to be cool.”
Pascal Wehrlein, Porsche: “It's a cool track and it feels like a very old school, with a nice risk and reward feeling if you get the lap right if you send it into the fast corners especially. So, yeah, looking forward to it. I already enjoyed the winter testing here and it's cool that we are here to race now.”
Oliver Rowland, Nissan: “It’s a good track! You've got off camber, on camber, up and down, high speed, low speed. You got a little bit of everything. So it's a good challenge for the drivers. We were quite new in this regulation of car when we first came here. It's going to be a tricky one in qualifying, I expect it to be a real challenge.”
Pepe Martí, CUPRA KIRO: “I’m very excited to race at home this weekend. We’re coming to Madrid following a very strong performance in Race 2 in Jeddah and in the team, hopes are very high. I think it would be ideal if we can maintain this upward trend of good performances and results, and for me, the goal is to score points. I’m very happy with how this season is progressing, and I’m very excited to race at home and to see Formula E’s Spanish fans. I’d love to reward them for their support with a strong finish.”
