Mahindra Racing reserve driver, Kush Maini, will get another opportunity to drive the GEN3 Evo in the Madrid Rookie Test, set to take place on Sunday 22 March. The news marks the latest collaboration between one of India’s brightest junior single-seater talents, and the only Indian team currently competing at World Championship level in motorsport, as part of the FIA’s all-electric racing series.
NEWS: Rookie Test set for CUPRA Raval Madrid E-Prix race weekend
Having signed with the team in Season 10, Maini has continually impressed during the testing opportunities he’s been given in-season which includes topping the 2025 Jeddah Rookie Free Practice. As well as his duties with Mahidra, Maini also races in Formula 2 and is part of Alpine’s Driver Academy.
Joining Maini is 18-year-old Théophile Naël, who will get his first experience of Formula E's all-electric machinery in Madrid. Naël started his racing career in karting, finding success (and taking the crown) in the 2018 French Championship. Since graduating to single-seater cars, the Frenchman has achieved victories in the F4 Spanish Championship - where he was crowned champion - and a win at the 2025 Macau Grand Prix.
This year, Naël is competing in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Campos Racing - his second year in the highly competitive series.
