The action for Season 11 will kick off with pre-season testing over four days from Monday 4 - Thursday 7 November 2024 in Valencia, Spain. This will be the first time we'll see all the teams on track with their new GEN3 Evo machinery, putting that rapid race car - capable of 0-60mph in just 1.82 seconds - through its paces around the Ricardo Tormo Circuit.
Find out how you can get involved!
Valencia's Circuit Ricardo Tormo is a familiar pre-season stop, having hosted the official Formula E test for the last eight years. The lap begins with a long straight into a high-speed, sweeping left-hander. Then, cutting into the technical in-field section, it is unlike a typical Formula E track, so drivers must watch out for track limits. Closing out the lap is a long continuous left-hander as drivers fight for grip braking over a crest. This feeds into a final chicane, added specially to the start/finish straight to mirror the hard braking needed for street circuits, with the sharp walled bends firing the drivers out towards the finish line to complete a lap of the 3.37km circuit.
Leveraging a roster of innovative technical upgrades, the GEN3 Evo unveiled at H.S.H Prince Albert II’s Private Car Collection will debut in Season 11 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Developed by specialists from Formula E and the FIA, the latest GEN3 Evo edition marks a significant leap in electric racing technology, with acceleration 0-60mph 30% faster than a current F1 car, and 36% faster than the GEN3 car.
Capable of accelerating nearly a full second faster than its predecessor – the GEN3 – that was the world’s first race car designed for street racing, it sets an even higher standard in performance, sustainability, and efficiency. The GEN3 Evo serves as a formidable ambassador for the future of motorsport, embodying cutting-edge advancements and a commitment to environmental responsibility.
On Thursday 7th November, watch 22 women get behind the wheel of a GEN3 Evo race car in Formula E's dedicated test session for women racing drivers - the first of its kind in FIA Championship history.
