Formula E returns to the streets of São Paulo to kick off Season 11 on 7 December, 2024. At the Sambadrome, fans will see the faster, stronger and more sustainable GEN3 Evo, marking the first time that Brazil has hosted the Formula E season-opener.

GEN3 EVO

Leveraging a roster of innovative technical upgrades, the GEN3 Evo unveiled at H.S.H Prince Albert II’s Private Car Collection will debut in Season 11 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

Developed by specialists from Formula E and the FIA, the latest GEN3 Evo edition marks a significant leap in electric racing technology, with acceleration 0-60mph 30% faster than a current F1 car, and 36% faster than the GEN3 car.

São Paulo

São Paulo - a venue that is home to the world-famous carnival celebrations and incredible samba schools. Formula E's grid will be bringing the party to the Anhembi Sambadrome, with action-packed racing from start-to-finish.

With three long straights connected by tricky chicanes, sweeping corners and tight turns, the circuit in São Paulo is a challenging lap for the pack. Starting on the main straight that's usually reserved for carnival floats and revelry, there will be a different type of dancing as the drivers put their toe tapping to use on the brake pedals into the series of sharp turns, that feed to a looping hairpin that fires the field down the straight

Join us for the Formula E Autograph Session in the pit lane!

The Autograph Session will take place between 11:30 - 12:00 with wristband collection for ticket holders available from 07:00 - 11:30.

Only fans with reserved session tickets can collect a wristband, which must be done prior to the session.

Last entry is at 11:40 and if you arrive after this time you will not be able to participate in the session.

Practice - Watch as the drivers push the cars' limits and fine-tune their race strategies for the final time before qualifying.

Live Music Starts - Head to the DJ Lounge in the North Fan Village to watch live performances throughout the day.

Qualifying - Get ready for an intense multi-phase shootout where drivers compete in knockout-style duels format for the fastest, culminating in a head-to-head battle to determine the pole position for the race.
11:30 - 13:00

Workshops in North Fan Village - Check out North Fan Village for Capoeira, Brazilian Dance and Carnival Drumming workshops.
12:30 - 12:55

Drivers Parade - Celebrate the kick-off of Season 11 and see your favourite drivers up close before the race begins.

Round 1 - 2024 Sao Paulo E-Prix - It’s lights out at the 2024 Sao Paulo E-Prix!

Podium Ceremony - Celebrate with fans and the teams as the top three drivers are crowned. More music performances will follow the podium ceremony.

How to Get to the Race

There are two general public entrances for access to the event. Please note that the main entrance (G5) has changed from the Season 10 event.

GATE 1 (G1)

• Accessible only from the West side of the Sambodromo. This gate is only accessible either on foot or by taxi and public transport buses which drop off in the Casa Verde neighbourhood

• This gate should be used by persons holding tickets for Sectors D, E, F and G

• There is no public parking at this gate

GATE 5 (G5)

• It is advised that the majority of ticket holders access the event via G5. This entrance is within the arena area off Rua Prof. Milton Rodrigues which is pedestrian only, no vehicle access is permitted

• Accessible only via the Pavilhão de Exposições do Distrito Anhembi parking lot

• Gate 5 is approximately a 5-10 minute walk from the Anhembi parking lot

• Parking for event attendees is available to book in the Anhembi parking lot and is only accessible from the east side of the Av.Olavo Fontoura

Please note that several roads are closed for the operation of the event that will impact the car and pedestrian routes to entrances. Therefore, please see below how to access the entrances, depending on your mode of transport to the venue. We encourage you to be as sustainable as possible when planning your journey, and recommend use of the metro.

Bus Shuttle

A dedicated shuttle bus service will run from the Portuguesa - Tietê Metro stop / Estacionamento Tietê parking lot and drop ticket holders at the Pavilhão de Exposições do Distrito Anhembi parking lot shuttle bus drop off and pick up point. This service will be available to bring ticket holders to and from the event.

Shuttle bus operating hours: 06:00-19:00.

Shuttle price: R$4,40

Bilhete Único Cards and cash payments are accepted.

ACCESSIBLE BUS SHUTTLE

The Atende service for ticket holders with accessible needs will also be offering drop-off to the event site. Guests will be picked up from the main São Paulo E-Prix shuttle bus pick-up point at Portuguesa - Tietê Metro stop and taken to the accessible entrance on the south side of the Fan Village.

For those with accessible needs that do not take the Special Customer Service Atende, there is a buggy shuttle available at Distrito Anhembi parking lot dropping off at the ticket scanning entrance to Fan Village.

G1 - Taxi drop off and pick up is available on the R. Prof. Hermenegildo de Campos Almeida

G5 - Taxi drop off and pick up is only available on the east side of the Av. Olavo Fontoura - the rest of this road is closed due to the Formula E track.

Public parking is available at Estacionamento Tietê and is a 2-minute walk to the shuttle bus pick-up point:

IMPORTANT: Please note that Formula E advises the use of official event parking areas only (Estacionamento Tietê / Estancionamento Pavilhão de Exposições do Distrito Anhembi). Please be vigilant if parking in non-official event parking areas as flanelinhas may be in operation.

Parking is available at Estacionamento Tietê and is a 2-minute walk to the shuttle bus pick-up point. This parking has two entrance options:

Rua Voluntários da Pátria, 344 - Santana, São Paulo - SP, 02010-000

Fans can take advantage of discounted parking up until the 6th December 2024 on the unique pre-booking link below. This is a privately managed parking lot by GarageInn, located at the address mentioned above, through the early booking link.

The parking fee for the race date varies depending on the date of booking:

Up until December 3rd - R$ 70.00

December 4th - 6th: R$ 100.00

Day of the event, December 7th: R$ 150.00

Additional parking is also available at the venue at Estacionamento Pavilhão de Exposições do Distrito Anhembi: Rua Massinet Sorcinelli, S/N (Gate 5) - Santana, São Paulo - SP, 01142-300. The parking fee is R$70 per 12 hours.

There is no parking available in the proximity of the Gate 1 entrance.

Those holding a valid Race Suite or Emotion Club ticket with P1 parking will be able to access the North Parking situated on the West side of the Olavo Fontoura, next to G3.

Book Parking

By Metro

The closest station is Portuguesa-Tiete, located on the blue metro line (Linha 1). When leaving the metro, take the west exit and follow the route on foot to the pick-up point for the dedicated São Paulo E-Prix shuttle bus. This service will drop fans off at the the Pavilhão de Exposições do Distrito Anhembi. It is then a 5-10 minute walk to the main event entrance at G5.

Accessibility

At Formula E accessibility is important, as we want all fans to have the best time experiencing our fantastic racing.

We have a number of measures in place to ensure that everyone can enjoy our event comfortably and easily. These include accessible viewing platforms at most grandstands, accessible restrooms, wheelchair-friendly bar counters and more. Whilst at the event, Accessibility Champions will be ready to provide assistance at the Área de Acessibilidade, outside Gate 14.

For those who want to see the drivers full speed down the main straight, sector C, D, G, and H are where you want to be. These spots are perfect for revelling in the race and cheering on your favourite drivers as they fight for position.
