In the days following the debut of the Jaguar Type 00 concept car at Miami Art Week, the British brand has continued to showcase its transformation as it lifted the covers off their Season 11 Formula E challenger as the reigning Teams' World Champions.
The I-TYPE 7, which will be driven by the duo of Nick Cassidy and Mitch Evans over 16 rounds, features a dynamic new design but still stays true to the black, white and gold colour scheme we have seen from the team over the past few seasons.

With the introduction of the GEN3 Evo - a major milestone in electric racing technology, blending performance, sustainability, and efficiency - Jaguar have also detailed the changes they’ve made to their car over the off-season.
The race car capable of 0-60 mph in just 1.82 seconds will feature a new Jaguar powertrain, with the inverter, Motor Generator Unit (MGU) and transmission just some of the many changes coming to the I-TYPE 7.
Both Cassidy and Evans will also experience 350kW all-wheel-drive traction for the first time this season, as well as 600kW regenerative braking capability, new bodywork and different Hankook iON tyres following the latest generation of electric racing that kick starts in São Paulo this weekend.
PREVIEW: Everything you need to know about the São Paulo E-Prix
“What an exciting week it has been to start our 2024/25 title campaign,” James Barclay, Jaguar TCS Racing Team Principal said ahead of the new season. “Firstly, the reveal of the new Jaguar Type 00 in Miami and now the unveiling of our Jaguar I-TYPE 7 in its official livery here in São Paulo, less than 24-hours before it will be on-track. It’s an incredibly exciting time for the Jaguar brand and for us as reigning World Champions.
“In parallel with our Season 10 Teams’ World Championship and Manufacturers’ Trophy wins with the Jaguar I-TYPE 6, we have been designing, developing and testing the new Jaguar I-TYPE 7. The all-new Jaguar powertrain is at the start of its development journey but we have seen positive early signs and, along with all teams, we’ve been enjoying the challenge of maximising the new regulations and capability that comes with the shift into the GEN3 Evo era of Formula E.

“GEN3 Evo and the new homologation means Manufacturers have had the opportunity to introduce improved powertrain concepts and components, in addition to the common bodywork and all-wheel-drive capability. I am certain the changes are going to mean not only faster cars, but also an incredibly close and competitive season where most of the grid could be in a position to fight for podiums and wins.
“Most importantly, these new regulations give us further opportunities to develop and prove electric vehicle technology at an accelerated rate, and ensure those benefits are transferred to Jaguar’s future all-electric vehicles for the benefit of our customers.”

The team debuted a temporary livery last month during pre-season testing in Madrid, which received a positive reception from fans, but this new look is here to stay across the remainder of what promises to be a very exciting season.
