Formula E fans, be sure to make your way to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend as Jaguar TCS Racing will be running the latest GEN3 car up the famous Hill Climb. Karun Chandhok, racing driver and now Formula E pundit, will be jumping into the car for a run on Saturday, with the team teasing another star for their other turn on Friday.

The car will be running on Friday 12 July at 9:20 and 15:30, and Saturday 13 July with Chandhok behind the wheel at 9:20 and 15:35.

FEATURE: Six Formula 1 drivers that also raced in Formula E

“Goodwood’s Festival of Speed represents a high-point in the motorsport calendar for fans, so we are very proud to be involved this year and to showcase the impressive performance of the latest Formula E all-electric GEN3 race car,” Team Principal James Barclay said about the announcement.

“This year the Festival comes just a week before the Formula E season finale in London where Jaguar TCS Racing are in contention for the Teams’ World Championship, with our drivers Nick Cassidy and Mitch Evans heading there first and second respectively in the Drivers’ World Championship. It’s going to be an amazing spectacle in London, and we’re excited to bring a little bit of Formula E to the fans at Goodwood ahead of that!”

Barclay will be at the Festival on both Friday and Saturday, and will take part in a Q&A at Electric Avenue at 10.40 on Friday 12 July.

“Having driven in the first season of Formula E myself, it’s been impressive to see the World Championship grow,” Chandhok added. “The combination of high quality, established drivers and street-focused circuits produces some of the closest racing you’ll see.

SEASON 11 CALENDAR: Formula E returning to Miami and two races in Monaco

“The electric technology has developed a lot with both the power and energy recovery so to have the chance to demonstrate the latest GEN3 car in front of Goodwood’s packed crowds the week before the Championship is decided in London will be fun.”

The magical estate, which houses the FOS annually, will also be home to another milestone for the Jaguar Land Rover as they celebrate their heritage and innovation.

Nick Cassidy leads the Drivers’ World championship for the team, as we get ready to host the final two rounds around the London ExCel Arena next week. His teammate, Mitch Evans, is tied in second with TAG Heuer Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein, as we prepare for two nail-biting races and the chance to crown Formula E’s ninth new champion in 10 seasons.
