Ma Qing Hua makes return to Formula E alongside Turvey with NIO 333 FE Team

Ma Qing Hua returns to the ABB FIA Formula E Championship for the first time since the 2018 New York City E-Prix. The Chinese driver will join longstanding Nio driver Oliver Turvey at the newly-named Nio 333 outfit for pre-season testing in Valencia on October 15.

Chinese driver Ma Qing Hua is set to return to the ABB FIA Formula E Championship after being announced in the team's pre-season testing line up, which takes place in Valencia between October 15 and 18. Ma will join longstanding Nio driver Oliver Turvey at the outfit after it adopted the new name of Nio 333 FE Team earlier this year.

Throughout Ma's Formula E career, he has raced for Team Aguri, Techeetah and Nio. The driver achieved a best finish of 11th in the first of two races at Battersea, London, in 2016 and most recently made an appearance in the final race of the 2017/18 season in New York City where he took the place of Turvey, who suffered an injury during practice.

Tom Dillmann, who raced for the team during the 2018/19 season, is not scheduled to make an appearance for the Chinese squad in Valencia. The Frenchman finished bottom of the standings after failing to score any points throughout the season.

Both Ma and Turvey will test for the team on all three days in Valencia at the Ricardo Tormo circuit ahead of the season opener in Saudi Arabia on November 22. The newly-named team is expected to release more details of its powertrain and team structure after making significant changes during the off-season.
