Q: Kiro Race Co has experienced a lot of change this season. What has been your biggest challenge to date?
“The past six months have been transformational for Kiro Race Co and the level of change we have navigated impacts every single layer of our team.
"In Formula E, it takes a good 12 months to properly learn and get on top of a car, but we only had eight weeks before hitting the track at the start of the season. Because of that, we had to carefully strategise our approach, starting with the key building blocks and then adding a growing amount of resolution and finer detail.
"It was a challenging process, but well managed by the team – we were essentially flying our plane while building it at the start of the season. Thankfully, the cadence of the first phase of the calendar has really played into our hands. Until now, our metric for performance has simply been ‘progress’, and while top 10 finishes have been great, our key focus has been on how quickly we can learn and improve step-by-step.
"We’re now entering a period where we still have a lot to learn, but it’s now a case of putting in the smaller pieces of the puzzle. We’ve found our technical and operational rhythm, and we’re now in a position from where we can fight.
"The field in Formula E is very competitive, and finding any form of success can be difficult, but that can’t be an excuse – it’s a challenge to rise to, and we believe that on the right day, we can challenge for the podium. Our target is to score 100 points this season, and to do that, we know that we need to get some big results.”
Q: In Dan and David, you have a young but passionate driver pairing. How are they working together this season?
“Dan and David have gelled well together. In terms of combined age, we have the youngest driver pairing on the grid, but despite that, we have a relatively mature dynamic that’s developing. Dan already has more than 50 Formula E races under his belt, and with David’s hunger, we have a balance that is pushing them both forward.

"They’ve both shown flashes of brilliance but collectively, we haven’t converted enough opportunities so far this season. That needs to change. The Monaco E-Prix marks the start of a relentless run in the calendar where we’ll have six races taking place within a month. We’re approaching the business end of the season fast, and that means that there’s no margin for error anymore.
"Motorsport is an environment that’s built on pressure and that pressure is a privilege – Dan and David know what’s expected. It’s a huge few weeks for them, for all of us, and together we will be pushing very hard.”
Q: With 11 races to go, what’s your goal for the rest of the season? What does success look like?
“Season 11 has already been a landmark season for our team, and it’s only April. We’ve welcomed new owners in The Forest Road Company, a new Co-Title Partner in CUPRA, Idris Elba to our ownership group and entered a technical partnership with Porsche. We have also had MrBeast drive our car, and commercially, we’ve made history by becoming the first Formula E team to partner with a major Hollywood studio in Marvel.
"Off-track, we believe we’re leading the way with a creative, dynamic, and unique approach – we’re making things happen, and they’re happening fast. The next step for us is to mirror the assertiveness of our marketing with our on-track performances. Our ownership group have very high expectations for us to deliver – and rightly so. Success breeds success, and we are edging closer to that tipping point where momentum can play a big part in performance. We have the maturity we need to chase results now.
“Coming into Monaco, we’re 10th in the Teams’ standings, but we want to achieve far more than that. The target of hitting 100 points in itself is a big step and an incredible challenge. Mathematically, it means consistent top-five finishes, alongside podiums.
"There are no easy positions in Formula E and if we want to rise, it means that someone else has to fall. To get to where we want to be, we need to become giant killers – there is no other way. There are no half measures, and no easy points. We’re all in, and we’re ready to do whatever it takes.”
