For the 2017 FIA Formula E Qatar Airways Paris ePrix, Formula E invited its local charity partner L’Association du Sport et Plus (ADSP) to experience the electric street racing series in the city of light, Paris. The charity’s aim is to enrich the daily lives of young children, who suffer from life threatening illnesses in hospitals. The association currently helps over 15,000 children through fundraising at sporting events to offer equipment and invitations to sporting events.
A group of ten adults and children joined us on Saturday May 20 in Les Invalides. The group received a tour of the pit lane where they got to see all of the Formula E teams and cars in the garages, they also managed to get a glimpse of the drivers and engineers prepairing to hit the track, and they posed in the Formula E car.
The group also had the chance to explore the Allianz eVillage which offers fantastic displays and activities, ranging from the latest electric and hybrid cars from Renault and BMW, to racing simulators that give you the chance to prove yourself against fellow fans. The association even had a go at making their own smoothies from pedalling, the chance to try out some of the gourmet delights of the taste zone and meet all of the drivers during the autograph session. To finish up, the group watched the 2017 FIA Formula E Qatar Airways Paris ePrix from there grandstand seats to watch the race.
