Virgin Media to air the Mexico City ePrix live in the UK

Formula E’s first visit to Mexico City will be shown live on Virgin Media in the UK on March 12.

The fifth round of the 2015/2016 FIA Formula E Championship at the historic Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez will also be streamed live online in the UK via YouTube, Dailymotion and through the official Formula E App and website - www.fiaformulae.com.

Ali Russell, Director of Media at Formula E, said: “Not only can you stream the Mexico City ePrix online and via the Formula E App in the UK, but fans can also follow all the action live on Virgin Media. We are pleased to be able to provide UK fans with the opportunity to follow the inaugural running of the race in Mexico across a variety of different outlets.”

David Bouchier at Virgin Media, said: "I am very pleased we are able to jump in and make the Mexico City ePrix available to our subscribers, given a scheduling conflict on ITV4, its normal home. We’ve taken the opportunity to cover not only the ePrix itself but also, for the first time, Formula E fans will be able to watch all the day’s action from Mexico City, starting with the first practice session. We know Formula E has a passionate and growing fan base in the UK, and we are delighted to offer extended coverage to Virgin Media subscribers.”

The Mexico City ePrix is available for free to all Virgin Media subscribers on channel 996.

Delayed coverage of the race is also available on ITV4 at 11:15pm, with the highlights aired on ITV at 9:25am on Sunday, March 13. The remaining races will continue to be shown live across ITV’s channels.
