Always dreamt of owning your own Gen2 ABB FIA Formula E Championship car? Well, here’s your chance as Panasonic Jaguar Racing pull the wraps off their brand-new Lego Speed Champions set featuring both the legendary I-Type 4 Formula E and I-PACE eTROPHY racing cars. Register below for more information.
Introducing the very first LEGO® built Formula E car, which arrives in the form of Panasonic Jaguar Racing’s I-Type 4. Revealed at the same time as their full-sized 2019/20 season challenger and full driver line up, the brick-based version bears all the hallmarks of a Gen2 car, complete with halo safety device, the radical, Batman-esque rear diffuser and, of course, a Panasonic Jaguar Racing Minifigure Driver.
Making its debut in stores in 2020, the kit will coincide with the most competitive season of Formula E yet as some of the best brands and biggest names in motorsport go wheel-to-wheel on the streets. The year also marks the return of Formula E to the UK with a double-header showdown in the ExCeL Centre, London – Panasonic Jaguar Racing’s first home race.
Accompanying the I-Type 4 is the official Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY car. Since its bigger brothers made history as the cars of the first official Formula E support series at the beginning of the 2018/19 season, the I-PACE eTROPHY has become a familiar sight at city street circuits all around the world.
The Speed Champions set comes after the team’s best season yet, which saw Evans clinch the British racing outfit’s first victory in Formula E after a bitter battle on the streets of Rome with DS Techeetah’s Andre Lotterer. After a win and three podium finishes, Jaguar rounded off the championship seventh in the standings while Evans placed fifth individually.
