Stoffel Vandoorne, DS PENSKE:
"Obviously, I was very happy about the championship last year, but everything's reset this year. The car, the team and there are a lot of unknown things, so it's not as straightforward.
"I'm ambitious, and we had a good test in Valencia. So hopefully, you can just translate that into good results. And I think it's kind of normal that there is an expectation from the outside world because, you know, I just won the championship, and people would expect me to do well. So we're just going to try to do that."
Pascal Wehrlein, TAG Heuer Porsche:
"I would say, last year over the last couple of months have been quite busy, with testing and so on. Finding out the secrets of the car, its performance and so on. It's great we have Antonio Felix da Costa with us. He has a lot of experience. He's a super cool guy.
"Now we focus and concentrate on this season to do the best possible job.
"Mexico has always been good for us. We've always been very competitive, from season five onwards. It's always good coming here. I love the country a lot. But also this year is a bit more unknown because of the new cars. So first time with these cars on the track, trying to find the right setup, and we go through them.
"You need to know that we don't have power steering. So the cars are definitely heavy on soft tracks, really tight and twisty corners, and with a lot of grip on the inside, the steering gets super heavy. So I think there was not a driver that wasn't exhausted, but not always. Gen3 cars are a bit more physical to drive my car. But I will say it's not an issue."
Lucas di Grassi, Mahindra Racing:
"Mexico is a great start of the season for this generous new generation of cars.
"I've been in every single Formula E race so far. The best part of my career is the last eight seasons or 10 years. I'm enjoying every minute, all the cars and the level of drivers and teams. I really enjoyed this competition. It is what keeps me going to try to compete with the new guys, or the younger guys, and just having fun and best because it really does.
"The race is very good in Mexico City. There are good braking points. Not that sure we can read how many overtaking opportunities there will be. It's very difficult to manage and is very technical. So I hope to just get a good result here and go on to the next one.
"This race is the best because of the Mexico fans. I even said this morning we could have just a Mexican championship - six races in Mexico!"
