FINAL CORNER FIREWORKS: See the podium clash from all angles

Shanghai delivered a showdown on the final lap going right down to the wire as Pascal Wehrlein and Nick Cassidy tangled over the remaining podium spots in the final corners.

There was drama on the final lap for the inaugural Shanghai E-Prix. Using his energy advantage Jaguar TCS Racing's Mitch Evans got the better of Pascal Wehrlein (TAG Heuer Porsche), going around the outside of the German at the never-ending loop that made up the first couple of corners.

Pushing Wehrlein back to second and into the hands of Evans' Jaguar teammate and championship leader Nick Cassidy, the New Zealander was all over the rear wheels of the second-placed Porsche - with an opportunity to get by Wehrlein and extend his lead in the championship.

PODIUM REACTION: "I Had The Energy To Win”

Jostling for position and looking for every possible move around the Porsche, it came down to the final corner with Cassidy looking for a move around the outside of the German, but the door was shut abruptly in his face in a move that Wehrlein self-judged to be hard but fair.

The robust defence went to the stewards for investigation but was eventually decided that no further action was required with Wehrlein holding on to his second-place finish.
