Katy has been with the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship as a Championship Journalist for the past two seasons, and is set to continue into Season 11, throughout 2024/25, conducting interviews with drivers and paddock personnel, writing features and analysis and appearing as a pundit across Formula E's website, app and social media channels.
On her win, which sees Katy become the second female journalist to be awarded the accolade in the past 20 years of the Young Media Awards, she said: “What an incredible honour this is, and undoubtedly one of the highlights of my career. It has been a dream of mine to win this award, and to join such a talented group of previous winners is very special.
“I would like to thank Motorsport UK and their panel of judges for this wonderful recognition, in addition to the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and my other clients. All of this started as a blog in my bedroom over a decade ago, so to now be celebrated as the Young Journalist of the Year is beyond magical.
“It’s been a joy to tell stories from paddocks around the world, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for myself and the other individuals who applied.”
