The outfit has been a part of Formula E from the beginning of the series, then under the Virgin Racing banner, with Sylvain Filippi the Team Principal at the helm following prior boss Alex Tai's departure.
The team boss spoke of his 'incredible' pride at getting his Jaguar-powered outfit over the line in the Teams' table in London.
"It took us nine years but it's an incredible feeling," said Filippi. "The whole team did an incredible job. We had long chats late last night to cheer everyone up," recalling the coming-together between drivers Nick Cassidy and Sebastien Buemi in Round 15 that prematurely saw an end to the Kiwi's title chances.
"Ultimately, our team is really strong and that's why I'm so proud of them. It was an unbelievably tight season."
The team is a customer of Jaguar, with Envision eventually pipping the factory Jaguar TCS Racing squad to the crown. That said, Filippi paid tribute to the close relationship the two outfits have had over the course of the first season of GEN3 and of their partnership.
"We enjoyed very close cooperation with Jaguar, who gave us the best car ever - it was just so fast at every track and that made all these points possible to us.
That really did happen last night.

Cassidy's Julius Baer Pole Position saw Envision Racing take a three-point lead into Sunday's race having been tied overnight with Jaguar TCS Racing on points - the factory team ahead on races won, four to three.
In the toughest conditions and after a long rain delay, Cassidy was able to lead lights-to-flag, holding off Mitch Evans comfortably, in the end. Buemi brought the sister Envision home sixth ahead of Sam Bird in the other Jaguar, ensuring a 12-point gap at the close of the season.
"They work so hard," said Cassidy in tribute. "Of course, every team does, but these people are special. They've been close so many times and that shows how strong they are in this championship. They finally made it, which makes me very happy."
