CO-FOUNDER & CHAIRMAN
Alejandro Agag

Alejandro Agag is the visionary Co-Founder & Chairman of the first all-electric motor racing World Championship, Formula E.

Since founding the series in 2011 with an idea penned on the back of a napkin, Alejandro has steered it to become the fastest growing motorsport in the world and widely regarded as the game-changing sport of the future.

He has continued to innovate in electric motorsport first with the creation of Extreme E in 2019 and his latest venture: the all-electric powerboat championship, E1. The off-road electric racing series Extreme E highlights the devastating impacts of climate change in remote corners of the world while E1 launched in 2020 focusing on marine conservation. Both endeavours, like Formula E, are aimed at advancing the development of cutting-edge electric technology and sustainability.

Alejandro also currently serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board of Planet First Partners, an impact investment fund focusing on sustainability transition.

Prior to Formula E, Alejandro worked in football at Queens Park Rangers in addition to experience drawn from across the GP2 motorsport championship - revamping the Campos outfit into the successful Barwa Addax Team – and investing in Formula 1 TV rights in Spain.

Before entering the world of sport Alejandro worked in politics, becoming Spain’s youngest representative in the European Parliament at the age of 28. He is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Italian.
