We’ve seen thousands of laps and kilometres completed across the field this week in Madrid across six sessions as Formula E’s 22 drivers got to grips with the new GEN3 Evo.
It was the first and only chance for the grid ton get together ahead of Season 11 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, at Madrid’s Jarama Circuit - ahead of the opener in Sao Paulo in December.
RESULTS: All the times from testing in Madrid
Times as we know aren’t everything - especially with a new car to think about. Drivers and teams have worked hard to make sure their setups are down, and their data matches what they’ve seen in the simulator - reliability too is a key focus as well as Hankook's new iON tyres.
Mitch Evans (Jaguar TCS Racing) set the benchmark time of the week in the final session on a 1m27.4 with the Porsche powered Kiros up there again in Dan Ticktum and reigning champ Pascal Wehrlein (Porsche) third.
Over the week, the 300kW running looked to favour Porsche-powered Andretti initially, though the American outfit has work to do unlocking pace at 350kW.
We’re racing in Sao Paulo in a month’s time, to kick off Formula E’s new GEN3 Evo era - and the 2024/25 campaign.
Up next, Formula E's first Women's Test.
