Formula E is back in the Italian capital for the series' third visit to a locale that's proven to be a favourite of drivers up and down the grid.
There have been changes to the track this year, but the drivers are saying they only enhance the circuit's character - a mix of undulations, changing road surfaces, fast sweeping corners and typically street circuit tight, technical sections.
There's always a ruckus in Rome - it's thrown up a classic on each of Formula E's visits so far. It was no different the last time we raced in the Italian capital, back in Season 5, with Jaguar Racing's Mitch Evans and then-DS TECHEETAH driver Andre Lotterer fighting tooth-and-nail for the entire 45-minute encounter.
In the end, it was the Kiwi who held his nerve, forcing Lotterer to settle for second. Making up for a disastrous race the previous year, Evans defeated his demons to finally claim both his and Jaguar Racing's first win.
Back in Season 4, Sam Bird - then of Envision Virgin Racing - sealed the race win in style as he managed his power just right and avoided the melee around him to make the chequered flag at the head of the field in-front of Lucas di Grassi (Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler) and Andre Lotterer.
