We now know the names of all 20 drivers taking part in Sunday's Madrid Rookie Test, following the news that Freddie Slater and Callum Voisin will represent the Andretti Formula E Team behind the wheel of the GEN3 Evo.
NEWS: Rookie Test set for CUPRA Raval Madrid E-Prix race weekend
At 17-years-old, Freddie Slater is one of the youngest drivers to take part in a Formula E test. The Brit began his karting career aged seven and quickly found success, with victories at the World Championship in 2020 and the European Championship in 2021. Upon graduating to the junior formulae a few years ago, Callum's racing career continued to make headlines, thanks to a record breaking campaign in the Italian F4 Championship, where he achieved a staggering 15 wins from 20 races.
This season - after being announced as the first member of the Audi Driver Development Programme - Slater will compete in FIA Formula 3 with Trident Motorsport.

Joining Slater is fellow Brit, Callum Voisin, who will get his second opportunity in Formula E machinery, having taken part in the 2025 Berlin Rookie Test for CUPRA KIRO. Voisin made an instant impression on the world of motorsport by winning the highly competitive GB3 Championship in only his second season of single-seater competition in 2022.
In 2024, Voisin graduated to the FIA Formula 3 Championship and secured his maiden win in the series at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, achieving a Grand Slam by claiming pole position and setting the fastest lap. He continued in the championship for 2025, scoring another podium, and finishing the season in 14th.
Callum Voisin, said: “I’m very excited to be joining Andretti Formula E for this year's rookie test. It will be my first time driving with Andretti and at the Jarama Circuit in Madrid, so I’m very much looking forward to the opportunity. I had a positive test last year at the Berlin Rookie Test, so I can't wait to build on what's been a fun and different experience to what I'm used to. I can't thank Andretti enough for the opportunity and I can't wait to get going.”
Freddie Slater, said: “Obviously, I'm very excited to get my first taste of Formula E machinery. It's been something I've been looking forward to for a while now, having always wanted the opportunity to drive an all-electric racecar. The Andretti name is incredibly iconic in motorsports, so having the opportunity to work with such a historic and successful organization means a lot. I just can’t wait to get started.”
