Formula E and the FIA will introduce PIT BOOST to the 2026 CUPRA Raval Madrid E-Prix, adding an exciting new strategic element powered by the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship official PIT BOOST provider, Fortescue Zero.
Drivers will make a mandatory 30-second stop to gain an additional 10% energy boost to their battery, adding another layer of strategy alongside the existing ATTACK MODE. With PIT BOOST in play, drivers will have access to one six-minute ATTACK MODE, injecting additional jeopardy into race strategy and delivering more action-packed racing for the fans.

Debuting in Season 2024/25, the PIT BOOST technology serves as a prime example of ‘race-to-road’ transfer, illustrating how innovations developed for the high-pressure environment of elite motorsport are being scaled for industrial use.
