Monaco ePrix charity auction raises over €120k

Over €120,000 was raised for the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation during the charity auction that took place following the Monaco ePrix.

The funds raised will be dedicated to supporting projects to fight against the environmental dangers threatening our planet, and to address plastic pollution in the Mediterranean region, with the “BeMed initiative” launched in 2016 by the Foundation and its international partners.

Among the items that were up for auction were a fabulous sculpture signed by the artist Marcelle Lo Giudice, two VIP tickets to the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, a TAG Heuer connected Modular 45, which looked magnificent in rose gold, and a VIP invitation for two guests to the Monte Carlo Gala for a sustainable ocean.

Addressing the guests ahead of the dinner at Sporting Monte-Carlo, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, said: “Because the Principality of Monaco is committed to the key challenges of clean mobility and an energy transition, this is an issue of paramount importance, and which forms the focus of a significant part my action, of my Government’s action, of my Foundation’s actions, which has been a partner of Formula E since its inception.”

As well at the charity auction, the guests at the Gala dinner were entertain by British pop siren Izzy Bizu, who delivered a note-perfect performance.
