Daniel Abt was happy to continue his strong end of season form with a podium at the Visa London ePrix season finale.
Abt finished the season with three podiums in the final five races, moving him into seventh place in the championship.
The ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport driver said: “For myself personally of course I’m happy. I think I’ve managed to raise my game a bit in the second half of the season and to finish on a high is always good.”
The German driver also believes that his team, and team-mate, can be proud of the seasons they had.
ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport finished second in the teams’ championship, while Lucas di Grassi finished second in the drivers’ championship.
Abt said: “Renault made us raise ourselves, make ourselves better. At the start of the championship we were not in a position to fight them, and I think coming into this weekend, the guys in the garage can really be proud.
“I believe Lucas can be very proud of what he did. I believe I had a team-mate who had delivered performances weekend after weekend in different situations. In the end, we have a result and we have a champion and I think they deserve it as much as Lucas would’ve deserved it. It was a great fight.”
