Bob Varsha to call Long Beach race

Veteran broadcaster stands in for Jack Nicholls for US round

Bob Varsha to call Long Beach race

Highly respected US sports broadcaster Bob Varsha will join Dario Franchitti on the world feed commentary team for the Faraday Future Long Beach ePrix.

Varsha has great knowledge of the series as he has been part of the FOX Sports commentary team since the first season. He has also driven the Formula E car, spending a handful of laps behind the wheel of the all-electric racer at Miami-Homestead Speedway prior to last season’s Miami ePrix.

“It's an honour to be asked to sit in for Jack and work with fellow announcers Dario, Nicki and the production team on the world feed for Formula E return to Long Beach,” said Varsha. “I've hosted nearly all of our domestic broadcasts of this fascinating series on FOX Sports from the beginning, and I've even driven the race car! I've also been a regular visitor to the famed streets of Long Beach going back to my days with the CART series, so I couldn't ask for a better place to introduce new fans to the fun and excitement of all-electric motor racing."

US fans of Formula E can watch the race exclusively live on FOX Sport 1. For the full TV listings click here
