“I have watched the entire Dragon Racing organisation produce race wins and podium finishes, and I feel that we have the opportunity to build on the knowledge and experience we all gained in season one.”
Having competed throughout the inaugural Formula E season, Jerome D’Ambrosio will remain with the Dragon Racing team for a further year looking to build on the promising performances shown in the previous campaign.
D’Ambrosio ended the season fourth in the 2014-2015 drivers’ standings picking up three podium finishes and a solitary victory at the DHL Berlin ePrix. The Belgian remained in contention for the title until the penultimate round in London.
As with the majority of Formula E drivers, D’Ambrosio started his journey in karting before progressing up the single-seater ranks in Formula Renault, Formula Renault 3.5, Formula Masters and GP2.
D’Ambrosio joined the Renault F1 driver development programme in 2004 and was eventually promoted to official test driver in 2010. He made his Formula 1 debut a year later with Marussia before linking up with Lotus as a reserve driver the following season.
