Allianz extends partnership with Formula E

Allianz extends partnership with Formula E

Formula E - the world’s first fully-electric single-seater racing series - is pleased to announce that Allianz has extended its partnership as an Official Partner of the FIA Formula E Championship for a further five seasons.

Allianz - one of the world’s leading insurance companies - teamed up with Formula E ahead of the Mexico City ePrix in February earlier this year, joining the electric street racing series as an Official Partner and putting their name to the Allianz eVillage fan zone.

The Allianz eVillage is a unique interactive fan zone where enthusiasts can fully-immerse their passion for motorsport and discover the latest in cutting-edge technology and innovations at every Formula E event.

Fans of all ages can experience a ‘day in the future’ within the Explorer Zone, delving into the world of new consumer technology and getting to grips with exclusive state-of-the-art gadgets and devices - including 3D printing, drones and virtual reality - a first-hand glimpse into the future.

The long-term extension provides both Formula E and Allianz with a strong foundation to build on the existing partnership - allowing for further opportunities to create innovative ways to inspire and interact with fans of Formula E.

Alejandro Agag, Founder & CEO of Formula E, said: “It’s fantastic news to confirm that Allianz has extended their partnership with Formula E. Just as road car manufacturers and statutory bodies are shifting focus to clean mobility and electrification - so are world-leading companies like Allianz, which they’ve shown with their long-term commitment to Formula E. I look forward to seeing the partnership expand and bringing exciting and innovative new opportunities to fans of Formula E all over the world.”

Jean-Marc Pailhol, Head of Group Market Management and Distribution at Allianz SE, said: “We are proud to partner with Formula E, the pioneering electric racing series. We look forward to exploring new territories and to driving the future of mobility together. The support of clean technologies also reflects the long-term sustainability agenda of Allianz. With the Allianz Explorer Zone, we are showcasing our pursuit of innovation and cutting-edge technologies which we plan to expand for the next season.”
